The National Park Service has released for public review a Draft Statement of Findings for Wetlands for a maintenance facility in the Morefield Canyon area of Mesa Verde National Park. It is the intent of the park to mitigate the incremental damage that has occurred over several years to a small natural wetland (about 1/3-acre) next to the facility by constructing a self-sustaining wetland in a more secure location nearby. The public review period is June 28, 2013 to July 29, 2013.

I thank you for your interest in and involvement with Mesa Verde National Park.

Sincerely,
Cliff Spencer
Superintendent, Mesa Verde National Park
