Dear Interested Citizen:
As you know, the National Park Service is developing a Foundation Document for Fort Monroe National Monument. This document will provide basic guidance based on a shared understanding of what is most important about the park.
During public scoping for this document we received ideas and comments from many of you. Your input has been instrumental in developing Part One of the Foundation Document and we hope you will continue to stay involved.
On June 26th, we will be holding two public previews of Part One of the Foundation Document for Fort Monroe National Monument at Bay Breeze Conference Center, 490 Fenwick Road, Fort Monroe, VA 23651, at 10 am and 5 pm. Please join us to preview this part of the document and see all that you have helped us accomplish.
Work on Part Two of the Foundation Document, which will focus on advising the park on key issues, future planning, and data needs, will continue through 2014. Once complete the full Foundation Document for Fort Monroe National Monument will be available on this site.
