FLAG Integrated Pest Management Plan

Flagstaff Area National Monuments » FLAG Integrated Pest Management Plan » Document List

FLAG Area Monuments proposes to develop an Integrated Pest Action Management (IPAM) plan and Environmental Assessment. This plan will provide basic pest management guidelines for vertebrates and invertebrates to help preserve stored artifacts, museum resources and prehistoric structures, as well as assist with the protection of the health and safety of staff and visitors in developed areas, public and administrative buildings, and park housing.

Integrated Pest Management is a decision-making process that coordinates knowledge of pest biology, the environment, and available technology to address pests in a cost effective manner and with the least possible risk to people, resources, and the environment.

The National Park Service encourages public participation throughout the planning process. There will be two opportunities to comment formally on the project; first during initial project scoping, and secondly following release of the DRAFT Environmental Assessment. Before we begin the environmental analysis for this project, we would like to hear your viewpoints on the action and any issues or concerns you have regarding the proposal.
