Project Title - Director's Order 41: Wilderness Stewardship, revision January 2011
Project Description - The subject draft Director's Order is out for review and comment. The previous (1999) edition of the Order was superseded and rendered obsolete by Chapter 6 of Management Policies 2006. This renewed edition of the Order includes changes and additions to complement the Management Policies. It will help bring additional accountability, consistency, and continuity to our wilderness stewardship program, and guide Servicewide efforts in meeting the letter and spirit of the 1964 Wilderness Act.
