Rehabilitation / Replacement of Fort Pulaski Bridge
Fort Pulaski National Monument » Rehabilitation / Replacement of Fort Pulaski Bridge
The National Park Service (NPS) is working in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to make improvements to the Fort Pulaski Bridge within Fort Pulaski National Monument. The Fort Pulaski Bridge was originally constructed in 1938, and rehabilitated in 1965. More recent repair projects were completed in 1996 and 2008; however, the bridge continues to deteriorate. An Environmental Assessment (EA) has been initiated to analyze repair or replacement of the Fort Pulaski Bridge.
