Ahwahnee Dorm Foundation Rehabilitation Geotechnical

Yosemite National Park » Ahwahnee Dorm Foundation Rehabilitation Geotechnical » Document List

DNC would like to conduct a geotechnical investigation and associated report to support the design for the current Rehabilitation of the Ahwahnee Dorm Foundation Project. The geotechnical investigation requires the boring of up to eight holes around the perimeter of the Ahwahnee Dorm building. Boring holes will be done by machine (2), and hand-augured (6). A core sample will be removed and tested, from each hole. Boring holes have a maximum diameter of 6" and can be as deep as 15'. Ground material will be replaced once boring is complete. A geotechnical report that determines soil characteristics will be prepared and used to inform the foundation rehabilitation design which will begin mid-April.
