The National Park Service (NPS) is pleased to announce the availability of the Environmental Assessment (EA)- Proposed Horizontal Directional Drill of the Natchez Trace Parkway. The EA will be available to the public for review on this website from August 21 to Sepetember 19, 2007. The EA has been prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, NPS Director's Order 12, and regulations of the Council on Environmental Quality to provide guidance in determining the appropriate actions needed to perform the proposed drilling.
The NPS considers public involvement to be an important component to a successful planning process, and we look forward to receiving your input.
