Install Towpath Direction Signs at the 34th Street Bridge

Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park » Install Towpath Direction Signs at the 34th Street Bridge » Document List

The National Park Service, Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, will install directional signs at mile 0.93 of the park. This location is the 34th Street Bridge. The park's towpath crosses from one side of the canal to the other at the bridge and signs will better assist visitors with the transition. The signs will meet NPS UniGuide standards.

The park's Interdisciplinary Team reviewed the project for impacts to natural and cultural resources. The project does not pose any serious or long-term effects to the environmental, historical, cultural, archeological, or visual resources. It meets categorical exclusion #C.5 – Installation of signs, displays, and kiosks.
