Dear Friends,
I am pleased to share the progress of our general management plan and ask for your continued help in charting the future of Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. Once completed, the general management plan will guide the long-term management of the monument. This requires the development of a range of alternative future conditions and management strategies to achieve them.
The planning team has developed a set of preliminary alternatives that describe various ways the monument could be managed for resources, visitor experiences, and operations. We are in the process of determining which of the alternatives is the most advantageous to the resource management, visitor experience, and monument operations.
