Parkwide-Install & Modify Curb Cuts and Ramps to Meet ADA Standards

Install & modify curb cuts that meet ADA standards at the Ahwhanee Hotel, Curry Village, and Yosemite Lodge. Curb cuts allow wheel chairs and individuals with disabilities access to DNC operations. Minor excavation and soil disruption will occur at the Ahwahnee location, all other sites will disrupt asphalt and concrete only. Curb Cut 1 is in the most sensitive area. Based on on-site discussions with DNC, the modifications will occur in a previously disturbed area. Existing stones will be removed and asphalt will be cut. A new concrete grade will be installed, with depth of disturbance not to exceed 6". Instead of a concrete curb on the cutslope side, granite curbstone will be set not to exceed 6" in depth. Curb cut 2 may be redesigned, but depth of disturbance will not exceed 12".
