The National Park Service (NPS) issued a notice in the Federal Register today clarifying the definition of "substantial restoration of natural quiet" at Grand Canyon National Park.

The notice clarifies the definition used by Grand Canyon National Park for achieving substantial restoration of natural quiet as mandated by The National Parks Overflight Act of 1987 (Public Law 100-91).

Public comment will be accepted on the notice for a period of 30 days with comments due on May 9, 2008.
