Create General Management Plan For AMCH

Amache National Historic Site » Create General Management Plan For AMCH

The National Park Service will be preparing a General Management Plan (GMP) for Amache National Historic Site near Granada, Colorado. A GMP is the park's long‑term blueprint that sets direction for protecting resources, shaping visitor experiences, planning access and appropriate facilities, and guiding partnerships. For Amache, this planning effort will help safeguard fragile historic resources, honor descendant voices, and create spaces for meaningful experiences that teach about civil rights and the injustices of wartime incarceration, while also setting direction for infrastructure and improving how people visit and move through the site.

We are at the beginning of the planning process and are seeking your thoughts on what the plan should consider. Please share your responses to the questions posted under the "Open for Comment" link to the left.

Thank you for your interest in Amache National Historic Site.
