FLAG Monumentwide Section 106 Programmatic Agreement

A programmatic agreement (PA) between the NPS - Flagstaff Area National Monuments (FLAG) (Sunset Crater Volcano, Walnut Canyon, and Wupatki National Monuments) and the Arizona State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) will be prepared for programmatic review of FLAG projects in compliance with Section 106. The PA will cover a range of regularly occurring activities at FLAG that are not currently covered under the NPS Nationwide PA for compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).

The public review period is August 27, 2025 through September 26, 2025.
