The Lower East Side Tenement National Historic Site is an Affiliated Area of the National Park System, administered by the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, a not-for-profit corporation. As the site's first general management plan, this document addresses the relationship between the Museum and the National Park Service and provides guidance for management of 97 Orchard Street for the next 10 to 20 years.

We welcome your participation in this planning effort. You may provide comments on this document until June 20, 2006, in one of the following ways:

1) Mail written comments to Peter Samuel, Project Manager, at the address shown below.

2) Hand-deliver comments at an open house on Wednesday, May 31, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 P.M. in the Lower East Side Tenement Museum's visitor center at 108 Orchard Street.
