The primary project objective is to initiate a trail inventory for OHV trails and dispersed use areas within the park. The inventory would include baseline data on trail centerline location and the physical condition of trails and dispersed use areas. Work is scheduled between August 4 - 11, 2005.
PRELIMINARY TARGETED AREAS & TRAILS for 2005:
Serpentine Hot Springs Area –overland route to Hot Springs, access to Jung’s mining claims.
Remote –other overland routes, North coast
The National Park Service has approved this project after reviewing it for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA).
