Development of Bullfrog and Hite Low Water Launch Ramps
Glen Canyon National Recreation Area » Development of Bullfrog and Hite Low Water Launch Ramps
This page provides public information about the Bullfrog and Hite Low‑Water Boat Ramp Project. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is planning improvements to maintain safe and reliable access to Lake Powell and the Colorado River in the Bullfrog and Hite Districts during ongoing low‑water conditions. As water levels have declined, existing boat ramps in these areas have become difficult or unsafe to use.
The project proposes new, lower‑elevation boat ramps and supporting facilities in both districts. These improvements are intended to enhance visitor safety, protect natural and cultural resources, and ensure dependable access for all users.
All project documents and materials available for public review can be accessed through the "Document List" on the left column.
