Boston African-American National Historic Site » General Management Plan/Enviornmental Assessment » Document List

I am pleased to announce that the Draft General Management Plan for Boston African American National Historic Site is now available for you review and comment. This document provides a summary of the draft plan.

The draft plan describes three management alternatives, one of them being our preferred alternative. The purpose of this plan and of the preferred alternative is to enable us to better meet the needs of our visitors, our partners and our neighbors and to ensure the long term protection of our site resources.

This document provides a summary of the plan but we also encourage you to review the entire plan. Information on obtaining copies of the plan is available on the last page of this document.

We have developed this General Management Plan/Environmental Assessment (GMP/EA) in partnership with the Museum of African American History — our primary site partner. Interested citizens, public officials, and representatives of relevant government agencies have participated at key points in the development of this document.

Your involvement is vital to this process and we look forward to hearing from you.
