Rehabilitate Seawalls & Shore Protection / Bluff Stabilization

Petersburg National Battlefield is proposing a project to repair, rehabilitate, and construct seawalls, retaining walls, walks, access roads, and other infrastructure for shoreline protection at Grant's Headquarters, City Point Unit in Hopewell, Virginia. The ultimate intent of this project is to preserve and protect nationally significant historic resources and to preserve the cultural landscape and views of the bluff area from both the land and water vantage points while ensuring public access and use by the visiting public.
