2025 Denali National Park and Preserve campfire addition to Superintendent's Compendium

Denali National Park and Preserve » 2025 Denali National Park and Preserve campfire addition to Superintendent's Compendium

This project addresses regulations regarding the types of fuel that visitors can use to light and maintain fires in park areas, including in campsites, in the 2025 Denali National Park and Preserve Superintendent's Compendium.

The compendium changes related to the lighting and maintaining of fires involve 36 CFR 2.13(a)(1): Fires. These changes add restrictions to the types of fuel that visitors can use to light and maintain fires in park areas, including in campsites. These restrictions will safeguard our natural spaces, protect natural and cultural resources, defend physical infrastructure and facilities, promote public health and safety, and reinforce responsible outdoor practices.
