Proposed Approval of Planned Workshop Structure

Green Springs National Historic Landmark District » Proposed Approval of Planned Workshop Structure » Document List

The National Park Service (NPS) invites review of and comment on its proposed response to a request for approval of a project planned and to be funded by the owners of a 60-acre farm on the southern fringe of the Green Springs National Historic Landmark District: construction of a one-story farm workshop building. The NPS reviews the request under the terms of a conservation easement that it manages over the privately owned property.

The NPS proposes a determination of No Adverse Effect to Historic Properties by—and thus its approval of—the planned project.

For details of the project and of the proposed NPS response, see the pdf document, "Workshop Background-Information Packet" in the "Document List" of this webpage. The information packet includes a description of the planned workshop and of the NPS review-to-date, proposed conditions regarding unanticipated archeological discoveries, and a map; site-plan; delineation of Area of Potential Effect; building elevations and plan; and site photographs.

Comment may be offered on the information in the packet, and on the proposed NPS response, by clicking the link in the "Document List" section of this webpage.
