NPS National Long Range Transportation Plan

Denver Service Center » NPS National Long Range Transportation Plan » Document List

The National Parks Service invites the public to comment on the framework for the National Transportation Strategy, which includes draft strategic goals and draft objectives within each goal. This framework is the structure upon which the forthcoming National Transportation Strategy will be based. The strategic goals and objectives describe the National Park Service's overall transportation agenda at a high level. The National Transportation Strategy will replace the NPS National Long Range Transportation Plan (released in 2017 and included in this project page's link section) as the official long-range transportation plan for the National Park Service, describing the overall strategic focus of the Service in developing, delivering, and maintaining transportation systems that provide visitors with access the park units, while minimizing or avoiding impacts on natural and cultural resources and the environment.
