Public Involvement for Sampling and Analysis Plan for Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis (EE/CA) Site Assessment at Caneel Bay Resort
The NPS has prepared an Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis Report (EE/CA Report), which documents the results of the assessment, compares alternatives to address unacceptable human health and ecological risk, and identifies a preferred removal action.
The NPS values and encourages public participation and invites the public to comment on the EE/CA report during the public comment period, June 10-July 24 2021, and will also hold public meetings to discuss the report and the results of the assessment on June 10 and June 24, 2021. Links to these virtual meetings are on this website.
Reports, the Administrative Record, and other documents relating to this assessment are available on this website.
During the assessment, community members may contact park superintendent Nigel Fields for more information at (340) 776-6201 ext. 431, email@example.com.

On February 11, the National Park Service (NPS) initiated field work to support an Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis (EE/CA) at Caneel Bay Resort within Virgin Islands National Park. The purpose of the field sampling is to provide data to determine the nature and extent of possible soil and groundwater contamination at the site and evaluate potential risks to human health and the environment resulting from such contamination.
