Delaware North Corporation (DNC) is requesting approval to install two charging stations at The Ahwahnee Hotel for electric vehicle use. Two parking spaces will be made available and managed by valet parking staff. Both chargers will be attached to one post (4 inch x 6 inch redwood post measuring 5 feet tall above ground surface). The post will be treated with clear stain. The post will be inserted 18 inches below ground surface, and inserted in a 1.5 foot diameter hole with concrete.
DNC has selected a location that has a nearby electrical service (along the same parking area) to install the charging stations. The charging station would be installed immediately adjacent to the electrical service that is available above ground and covered by a utility plate. This would preclude needing to trench, and the post installation would be the only ground disturbing activity.
