Special Use Permits - Weddings

This compliance addresses the issuance of Special Use Permits for wedding activities in Yosemite National Park and the El Portal Administrative Site. Specific locations have been designated for these programmatic activities, with criteria identified for park-wide locations to include: Existing day use areas; paved/unpaved parking areas,paved/unpaved trails; wilderness areas; Sequoia groves; riparian areas.

Dependent on group size, NPS employees monitor wedding activities to ensure protection of resources, compliance with permit conditions, and to address activties that have the potential to conflict with visitor enjoyment.
