The issuance of this Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) is to regulate and oversee the operation of commercial buses carrying passengers and operating within the jurisdiction of Yosemite National Park. The types of vehicles within the authorization's definition of a bus includes any vehicle operated to carry passengers for hire such as automobiles, limousines, vans, mini-vans, SUVs, mini-buses and motorcoaches. The definition does not include taxi services. All vehicles must meet the U.S. Department of Transportation and or California Highway Patrol requirements for carrying passengers. Areas of use are limited to those open to the public for activities associated with road-based tours. Vehicles are restricted from areas closed by the Superintendent and conditions of the CUA.
