Rehabilitate the Main Water System

Bryce Canyon National Park » Rehabilitate the Main Water System » Document List

The National Park Service (NPS) is proposing to rehabilitate the main water system at Bryce Canyon National Park (Park) beginning in 2026. This project is funded by the Legacy Restoration Fund, authorized by the Great American Outdoors Act. The Great American Outdoors Act aims to address deferred maintenance on public lands, while also providing permanent funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund to enhance recreational opportunities and conserve natural resources.

The purpose of the project is to address deferred maintenance of several critical system components of the Park's main water system. In addition to increasing storage capacity, these improvements will also protect the Park water system by replacing components at the end of their useable life and improving the ability to provide proactive, cost-efficient system repair.

Please see the project Newsletter in the Document List for more information about the project. We welcome your comments through the NPS Planning, Environment and Public Comment (PEPC) site.
