The proposed action will restore, protect, and tell the story of historic mining operations in Great Basin National Park through the stabilization of historic mining structures and enhance visitor experience within the 205 acre Johnson Lake Mine Historic District. The action would help the park meet the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, which includes preserving "the historical and cultural foundations of the Nation" and preserving irreplaceable examples important to our national heritage..."
