Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania NMP is proposing to establish a new burial plot in the Fredericksburg National Cemetery and to permit the burial of the remains of unidentified United States (Union) soldiers.
The NPS proposes to install a burial vault at the north end of Row BU and next to Grave 6755 in the Fredericksburg National Cemetery. The purpose of the vault will be to house the unidentified remains of United States soldiers from the American Civil War found on City of Fredericksburg property in 2015.
