The National Park Service (NPS) requests your feedback on preliminary alternatives for the Frozen Lake Surface Use Plan/Environmental Assessment (EA). The 30-day public scoping period for the Frozen Lake Surface Use Plan will start May 28, 2024, and will end on June 28, 2024. This 30-day public scoping period will initiate the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The project newsletter is available for review under the "Open for Comment" link on the left side of this page. Click on the link to the newsletter and then select "Comment Now". The public comment period for the newsletter will begin on May 28.
The park will host one virtual public meeting and two in-person public workshops the week of June 10, 2024. All meetings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Central Time. Park staff will give a brief presentation from 6:00 to 6:30 pm and will then be available to answer questions from the public via a workshop format until 8:00 pm. Please click the "Meeting Notices" link on the left side of this page for details regarding the public scoping workshops.
