Cuyahoga Valley National Park » Stabilize Riverbank at High Priority Areas along Towpath Trail and Valley Railway » Document List

Cuyahoga Valley National Park is working towards implementing an array of riverbank stabilization measures along the Cuyahoga River in Cuyahoga and Summit Counties, Ohio. These stabilization measures are essential to preserving the Valley Railway Historic District and Ohio and Erie Canal Historic District, a portion of which is a National Historic Landmark. These measures are also needed to ensure safe use of the Towpath Trail, popular multi-use trail and important element in the growing regional trail network and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, a popular tourist rail line that operates on the historic Valley Railway and is a critical element in the Park's Alternative Transportation System.
