Lewis and Clark National Historic Park » Accessibility Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for Lewis and Clark National Historical Park » Document List

Dear Neighbors, Friends, and Partners:

I am pleased to announce the availability of the draft Accessibility Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. The preparation of an accessibility self-evaluation and transition plan is mandated by regulations under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as they apply to the US Department of the Interior. Public entities are required to evaluate their current programs, policies, and practices dealing with accessibility and to develop a strategy for making the necessary changes to improve them.

All of this information is presented for your review in the draft plan. Because your feedback is important for the completion of the draft plan, we are asking for your thoughtful review and comments during the 45-day comment period.

We will be holding a virtual public meeting on August 26th at 2:00pm. To request information on how to attend the virtual public meeting, please email us at LEWI_socialmedia@nps.gov.

To make sure we capture all of your comments, please submit them one of two ways:

1. Input your comments online at https://parkplanning.nps.gov/LEWI_SETP_comments
