Lassen Volcanic National Park (LAVO), in conjunction with Whiskeytown National Recreation Area (WHIS), proposes to implement a dual park pass allowing visitors to access both parks through the purchase of a single pass. The proposal will align the price of each parks' annual park pass to an equivalent amount. The dual pass will cost the same as the current LAVO park pass ($55), which will result in a $10 increase to the current $45 WHIS pass. The dual park pass is expected to be implemented on January 1, 2020.
Entrance fees are not charged to persons under 16 years of age or holders of the America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Senior, Access or Military Passes. These passes may be obtained at the Park. Interagency Passes, which are honored at all federally managed land units, are not affected by the proposed fee increase and will remain at $80 for the Interagency Annual Pass, $80 for the Senior Pass and free for the Access or Military passes.
Because public participation is very important to the success of the project, the National Park Service (NPS) encourages your input and comment during the comment period. Comments can be submitted through the park's webpage at www.nps.gov/lavo. Or send comments to:

Following public involvement and outreach, feedback will determine how, or if, the proposed fee increases would be implemented.
Commenters should be aware that their entire comment - including personal identifying information - may be made publicly available at any time. While commenters can ask that their personal identifying information be withheld from public review, the National Park Service cannot guarantee that this will be possible.
