The California Department of Parks and Recreation (CDPR) and the National Park Service (NPS), under the banner of Redwoods Rising, have jointly prepared an environmental review document (Initial Study/Environmental Assessment) for the Greater Mill Creek ecosystem restoration project, within Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP). The project seeks to thin degraded young forests, remove failing logging roads, and enhance aquatic habitat for threatened fish. The project will implement restoration across 34,000 acres in the Mill Creek watershed.
