This project consists of replacing the wooden-shingled Beedle House roof (2170 SF), tuck-pointing the interior/exterior foundation of the building, and repairing plumbing in basement. Work consists of removing existing wood shingles, repairing sheathing as required, and installing new in-kind cedar shingles, metal flashing, and gutter system. Repairs will be made to the flat-seam metal porch roofs as well. The gutters will be "half-moon" galvanized tin camouflaged inside wooden box gutters to match 1860s guttering systems. In addition, restoration and repointing of the foundation consists of removing cracked and deteriorated mortar and replacing it with a mortar mix that is pliable and has a tighter consistency. Areas to be repointed are: inside the cellar entrance- -approximately 300 SF, South elevation- -approximately 600 SF, North elevation around porch area- -approximately 100 SF for a total of approximately 1000 SF to be repointed. Finally, approx. 40 LF of plumbing in the basement will be repaired by replacing with PVC piping.
