Mojave National Preserve » Construct New Housing at Kelso

Mojave National Preserve plans to replace doublewide trailers at Kelso and Cima with permanent employee housing to be built at the existing Kelso housing area. In 2009, a housing needs assessment was completed for the Preserve. Housing plans for Kelso were adjusted for the Preserve's staffing needs. The National Park Service now plans to construct one four-plex unit in Kelso and one eight-bedroom dormitory. The National Park Service is seeking public input for its planning process.
