Isa Lake Bridge EA Ammendment to Allow for a Road Closure During Construction

Yellowstone National Park staff have prepared a Categorical Exclusion (CE) to address a minor change to the 2013 Isa Lake Bridge Reconstruction Plan and to amend the 2013 Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) that indicated the park would install a temporary bridge for public use during the reconstruction of the Isa Lake Bridge. As the design for the reconstruction of the bridge progressed it was discovered that some project impacts could be reduced or eliminated, the project schedule could be shortened and project costs could be lowered by implementing late and early season closures of the road. These closures were not discussed in the Plan/EA.
