Construction of the Princess Ditch Trail

Whiskeytown National Recreation Area completed the planning process for the construction of a new trail along the historic Princess Ditch in the southeastern portion of the park. This new trail will connect the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area trail system to a network of trails in the Swasey Recreation Area, which is administered by the Bureau of Land Management. The proposed trail will be approximately 1.9 miles in length.

A Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the project was signed on May 12, 2014. The Environmental Assessment and FONSI are available for viewing by clicking on "Document List" from the Project Links on the left hand side of the screen.
