Vacation Cabin Environmental Assessment

Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area » Vacation Cabin Environmental Assessment » Document List

The National Park Service will examine and address the impacts and suitability of private vacation cabins along the shoreline of Lake Roosevelt at Rickey Point and Sherman Creek as it begins preparing a Vacation Cabin Environmental Assessment.

In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, the park will prepare an environmental assessment (EA) to guide decisions concerning the renewal of existing permits and the terms and conditions of the permits. The EA will look at a range of alternatives for the permitting of private vacation cabins to address public expectations and the protection of park resources.

Following a number of requests for an extension of the public comment period, the comment period has been extended for an additional 30-days.
