Replace Existing Ferry Terminal Tcket Booth with New Sustainable Ferry Transportation Center

This project will construct a 8,000 square foot ferry terminal/transportation center at the Patchogue Ferry Dock. Ferries and boats are the sole means of public travel to the Fire Island National Seashore sites of Watch Hill, Talisman, and Sailors Haven, which will be accessed from this site. Plans, construction documents,compliance, and permits have been completed with 2001 Alternate Transportation funding. Buildings will include ferry loading and unloading areas, transshipment docks, waiting room, transportation and island orientation, ticket booth, administrative office, storage, and public restrooms. A 178-car parking lot is alredy constructed. This proposal will include partnership participation from the Village of Patchogue and local maritime museums.
