Rehabilitate Horseshoe Bend and Afterbay Campgrounds

Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area » Rehabilitate Horseshoe Bend and Afterbay Campgrounds » Document List

The proposed rehabilitation of the Horseshoe Bend (Wyoming) and After bay (Montana) Campgrounds will include upgrades to the basic infrastructure and amenities. Under consideration are plans to enlarge some campsites, and update access for trailers and recreational vehicles. Consideration will be given to improving shade shelters, wind protection, and protect natural habitat vegetation in damaged areas. Existing comfort stations will be repaired and accessibility improved to meet current ADA standards.

Public comment is being solicited to help determine need and scope of the upgrades. Comments will be reviewed and, depending on funding, will be considered for incorporation into the proposal.
