Upon clean up, park maintenance staff will correct weatherization issues such as broken windows, gutters, siding, etc. All plumbing will be checked, tested, and repaired to eliminate structural damage from broken components/water. Cyclic mowing will be undertaken to reduce fire hazard and animal/vermin infestation.
Repairs Include:
CONTRACT
1. General Property Clean-up consists of debris removal from house, barn and grounds and house sanitation.
PARK STAFF
1. Winterize Building
2. Repairs to Plumbing
3. Replace broken windows
4. Replace Gutter
5. Roof Inspection of Barn
6. Secure loose Barn Siding and Doors
7. Cyclic Mowing
All work to these historic structures will be in compliance with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. All replacement will be in kind.
The project has been reviewed for impacts to natural and cultural resources by the park's Interdisciplinary Team. The project does not pose any serious or long-term effects to environmental, historical, cultural, archeological, or visual resources. It meets NEPA Categorical Exclusion #C.4 - Routine maintenance and repairs to cultural resource sites, structures, utilities, and grounds if the action falls under an approved Historic Structures Preservation Guide or Cyclic Maintenance Guide, or if the action would not adversely affect the cultural resource. The project also meets Section 106 of National Historic Preservation Act Programmatic Exclusion #IV.B.9 - rehabilitation work limited to action for retaining and preserving, protecting and maintaining, and repairing and replacing in kind materials and features, consistent with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation and the accompanying guidelines.
