Conduct Facility, Trails and Grounds Work Utilizing Youth in 2022. This project will fund four to six Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program employees at Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. The YCC employees will work for 10 weeks at a estimated cost of $19,500 for FY22.
The YCC program participants work alongside NPS staff to manage the park's natural and cultural landscapes, as well as to repair and improve park facilities.
1.Facilities projects include trail building and maintenance; fence building; painting; and cleaning surfaces, trails and pathways. Education with youth on the needs of facility maintenance and priorities to complete cyclical and deferred maintenance projects within our park infrastructure.

2. Work includes orienting park visitors; youth will work to maintain interpretive signage and maintain interpretive features and sites. Repairing, cleaning and performing site maintenance on rain garden. The training will also include necessary safety orientations
