The Aitken Barn (HS 21) has approximately 2,000 square feet of exterior surface to be repaired and stained. The Aitken Barn was last stained in 2011 and will be past its life cycle by 2021. Repairs will be made to the structure as needed, surface will be prepared for staining by sanding, and entire structure will be stained with 2 coats of exterior semi-transparent stain.
The paint used will be Sherwin-Williams "Woodscapes Exterior Acrylic Solid Color House Stain." in Navajo White. This was the paint and color used previously for these structures.
