As of August 2021, the Denali Park Road closed west of mile 43 due to the Pretty Rocks Landslide. Implementation of a long-term solution for the Polychrome Area will begin in 2022. As such, DENA is proposing a project to temporarily turn transit buses and other traffic around at the East Fork of the Toklat Bridge and use the East Fork Cabin site as an interpretative stop on the Tundra Wilderness Tour.
