Remove non-historic fence screening ramp into Morse House (HS-09)

Lincoln Home National Historic Site » Remove non-historic fence screening ramp into Morse House (HS-09)

A white-painted board fence that was installed in 2009-2010 to block the view of a modern metal railing around a wheelchair ramp will be removed. The ramp and the railing will remain for safety and accessibility into the historic house. The fence needs to be removed to prevent overnight squatting/camping by homeless visitors who are vandalizing the building and abandoning materials on the ramp. This has become a safety hazard for the park staff who use the building for offices, as well as causing damage to the historic house.
