Environmental Assessment for Coley Road / Barnes Crossing Roadway Project (Natchez Trace Parkway Portion) Tupelo, MS

The National Park Service (NPS) has released for public review an Environmental Assessment for a proposed five-lane major thoroughfare arterial extending and connecting Coley Road from McCullough Boulevard to Highway 78 (future Interstate 22) and Barnes Crossing Road from North Gloster Street to the same location on Highway 78. The proposed project will include a grade separated crossing at the Natchez Trace Parkway, and this project Environmental Assessment (EA) covers potential impacts on NPS land.

The proposed thoroughfare crossing of the Natchez Trace Parkway is part of a larger roadway project that is 4.4 miles in length. Refer to the Federal Highway Administration ftp site at http://ftp.mdot.state.ms.us/ftp/Environmental/Coley-BarnesCrossing/ to access the Environmental Assessment for the larger project.
