Big Cypress National Preserve Supplemental Draft Backcountry Access Plan/ Wilderness Study/ Environmental Impact Statement


This Supplemental Draft Plan/EIS has been prepared in response to public comments received on the Draft Backcountry Access Plan/Environmental Impact Statement (Draft Plan), which was released to the public on October 30, 2020. This document supersedes the Draft Plan and is intended to be read as a stand-alone document.

The purpose of this Plan is to provide management guidelines for backcountry access and use while protecting the preserve's natural and cultural resources and providing for public enjoyment. We are seeking comment from the public through September 26, 2022.
