As you may know, the National Park Service is developing a Big Cypress National Preserve (Preserve) Backcountry Access Plan (Plan)/Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (BAP/SDEIS). Please join park staff and planners to learn about the plan BAP/SDEIS updates. There will be three identical webinar meetings during which park staff will provide an overview of the Plan, describe how to provide public comments, and host a question and answer session. Description:
The National Park Service has released the Big Cypress National Preserve (Preserve) Backcountry Access Plan (Plan)/Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS). The Plan describes management alternatives to provide management guidelines for backcountry access and use. We are asking for formal comments via our website during the comment period. This meeting will provide an overview of the Plan, inform you how to comment on the Plan and provide an opportunity for you to ask questions about the plan and process to date.

Meeting Directions/Instructions:
You may attend this moderated meeting via the internet on your browser of choice during the times listed. The URL is provided below. On your computer, you may view the presentation and provide questions for the panel to answer either by the browser of your choice or the Microsoft TEAMS app. If you would like to use your phone you will need the TEAMS app installed. The TEAMS app may be downloaded from Microsoft.com, play.google.com store or apps.apple.com. The format for the webinar will include a short introduction of the panel, and a presentation providing an overview of the plan and how to provide us your comments via PEPC. This will be followed with a moderated question and answer chat session focused on the BAP/SDEIS and the NEPA process. NPS staff will answer your questions to the best of their knowledge. Please note, this meeting is not intended to record your comments or review of the Plan. Please provide your formal comments on the BAP/SDEIS via PEPC on the open for comments page.
