HALE Kipahulu Comprehensive Plan Scoping Newsletter - November 2016


Haleakala National Park is developing a comprehensive plan for the lands under National Park Service management in the Lower Kipahulu Valley. The purpose of the Kipahulu Comprehensive Plan is to balance recreational access and visitor facilities with protection of the park's important natural and cultural resources. Your comments will help us identify management strategies that meet visitor needs while also achieving our mission to preserve and protect resources.

Below you will find a copy of the public scoping newsletter and scoping questions. Haleakala National Park is asking for public feedback on the overall vision for the plan. You may submit your comments through this website or by sending them to the following address from November 10, 2016 to December 15, 2016.
