FONSI, Transfer of Jurisdiction of National Park Service Property to the Department of Housing and Urban Development to Comply with the Fort Lincoln Urban Renewal Plan (URP)

The NPS has selected alternative 2 for implementation to occur following National Capital Planning
Commission's review and recommendation of the transfer. The impacts that will result from the selected alternative will not impair any park resource or values necessary to the NPS or to fulfill specific purposes identified in the 2004 Fort Circle Parks Management Plan. Selection of this alternative hereby amends the 2004 Fort Circle Parks Management Plan, effective with the date of the transfer, to reflect that the management of it is transferred from the NPS to the HUD and is no longer a part of the land managed by Rock Creek Park.
